Union Pavement Services is a subsidiary of Reed Family Companies. The Reed Family have been pioneers in the use of asphalt, asphalt emulsions and the rapidly growing pavement preservation industry since 1919.
Union Pavement Services provides customers throughout California with a vast array of innovative solutions for their pavement preservation needs. As our name honors our affiliation with Laborers’ International Union Local No. 1184 and their apprenticeship training programs training our future workforce.
What We Do
UPS specializes in servicing the pavement preservation needs of local public agencies and signatory prime contractors working for agencies. We assist our clients with design, build and installation of pavement public preservation systems on projects of all sizes, both public and private. To satisfy the needs of our clients in today’s challenging construction environment, UPS’s expert team of professionals utilize state-of-the-art equipment and highest quality of materials to safely deliver an end product of the highest possible quality.
Sustainability
Long service life is one of the primary drivers of pavement sustainability. Union Pavement Services singularly exists to improve the sustainability of asphalt pavements through pavement preservation. Asphalt pavements with longer service life offer the opportunity to reduce life-cycle costs, user delays and environmental impacts. Compared to the old standard, Union Pavement Services employs low-cost, low-environmental-impact treatments to prolong the life of the pavement by delaying major rehab activities. This conserves energy and virgin materials while reducing emissions over the life cycle of the pavement.
